Cynthia Maniglia, our June featured Artist of the Month, works in acrylic, oil, pastels, Chinese ink, digital art, and mixed media. Art is in her blood; Cynthia’s father was a commercial artist who encouraged her to draw and paint from a young child. Native Florida plants and landscapes are some of her favorite subjects to draw and paint. A member of The Parrish Arts Council for several years, she also taught watercolor painting classes at the Lakewood Ranch YMCA. In the past, she created handmade cards with dried botanical elements that were sold on Rodeo Drive in California and in high-end gift shops nationwide.
