Rare Fruit Trail
Our 10-acre parcel of land has a protected warm micro-climate, and is notably frost-free. Because of these unusual environmental conditions, the Park is able to showcase collections of rare palms, fruits, flowering trees, and other subtropical plants.
In 2008, the Manatee Rare Fruit Council planted and continues to maintain an extensive exotic fruit tree section that includes the following: star fruit, dragon fruit, fig, guava, canistel, bird plum, African breadfruit, jackfruit, loquat, lychee, persimmon, pomelo, sapodilla, strawberry tree, sugar apple, Surinam cherry, tamarind, white sapote, ylang ylang, papaya, mulberry, noni, etc.
Hidden Garden Nursery
The Hidden Garden Nursery is located in the park discreetly nestled behind the Butterfly garden. Here you’ll find a treasure trove of exotic plants, exquisite bromeliads, captivating succulents, and other that await your exploration. Plants are reasonable priced.
